Caltius Capital Management manages two funds: Caltius Equity Partners (CEP) and Caltius Structured Capital (CSC):

  • CEP buys and builds lower middle market companies in the Business Services, Industrial Services, Technology, and Consumer Services sectors, investing from $10 to $30 million for a controlling or substantial minority. 
  • CSC delivers subordinated (mezzanine) debt, minority/structured equity and unitranche solutions for middle market companies, investing from $7 to $50 million to facilitate growth, acquisitions, shareholder liquidity, management/leveraged buyouts and recapitalizations/refinancings.
Caltius was referred to Proactive Marketing in 2004 when CEP and CSC were closing their second funds, respectively, which were much larger than their inaugural funds. Across multiple engagements spanning 15 years, PMI:
 
  • Helped articulate Caltius’ value proposition and competitive advantages.
  • Established and maintained a marketing plan.
  • Developed unique business development plans with accountability features for key team members and provided individualized business development coaching.
  • Created and fulfilled a communications plan including eblasts, press releases and social media.
  • Worked closely with the CEP and CSC teams to develop content for a new corporate brochure, then retained and managed an outside graphic designer through fulfillment.
  • Developed the mapping and content for a new website, then retained and managed an outside webmaster through fulfillment. 
  • Advised on the structure for database system and recommended and worked with consultant to customize the system.
